About VidGlide

VidGlide is a set of free video tools that run entirely in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded to a server.

Why VidGlide exists

Most online video tools work the same way: you upload your file to their server, wait, and get back a compressed or converted version — often with a watermark, a file-size cap, or a paywall. For a big video, the upload alone can take longer than the actual work.

Modern browsers can do better. VidGlide uses WebCodecs, the same hardware-accelerated video technology that powers video calls, to process your files directly on your own computer or phone. Your video never leaves your device, there is no upload wait, and because there is no server bill to pay, the tools can stay genuinely free — no watermark, no signup, no quotas.

What you can do here

Compress video to an exact size (like under 16MB for WhatsApp), convert video to GIF, trim video with frame accuracy or instant lossless copy, convert between MP4, WebM, MOV and MKV or extract MP3, and resize video for Reels, Shorts or any platform — even 1GB+ files.

Privacy by architecture

Privacy here is not a policy promise — it is how the tools are built. Files are read and encoded locally by your browser. You can open your browser's network tab and watch: after a page loads, nothing is sent anywhere. You can even disconnect from the internet and keep working.
